Clean Water for Life — Hydrating Humanity
One of the causes closest to our hearts is Hydrating Humanity, a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe, clean drinking water and hygiene education to communities in East Africa. Every time Lakenridge builds a home, we help sponsor the construction of a well through Hydrating Humanity — giving families access to life-sustaining water where it’s needed most.
Hydrating Humanity works throughout Kenya and Tanzania, drilling wells that serve entire communities and helping promote better health and dignity for families who previously had to walk miles for water. In addition to water projects, they also provide hygiene education and spiritual encouragement, bringing both physical and holistic care to people across the region.
Through this partnership, Lakenridge Homes is proud to be part of a movement that quenches thirst, protects health, and honors human dignity — one well at a time.
Supporting NC Families — NC Down Syndrome Alliance
We are also honored to support the North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance (NCDSA), an organization focused on building community, promoting acceptance, and providing resources for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Each year, Lakenridge Homes proudly sponsors the Annual Buddy Walk, a joyful community event that brings families, friends, and supporters together to celebrate and raise awareness. The Buddy Walk is part celebration, part advocacy and part fundraiser — all centered on uplifting individuals with Down syndrome and fostering a world where every person is valued and supported.
Our sponsorship reflects our belief in the inherent dignity of every person and our desire to help create a community where all families feel supported, and loved.
